School Dance Workshops

Primary school dance workshops using professional dancers

In the world of musical theatre, dance is used to tell stories. All our dance workshops approach movement through storytelling, helping children to develop their confidence and performance skills alongside an understanding of narrative.

From popular children’s books and poetry to cultural celebrations, mini musicals and themes such as friendship and teamwork, our dance workshops encourage children to use their imaginations while engaging with the topic from a new, active perspective.

We kickstart the day with an assembly for all the children taking part. This is followed by class-by-class workshops of 35-40 minutes each, based on the chosen theme.

The sessions were exceptional; they were adapted to suit each age range and the pace of the sessions kept all children engaged. The steps were clearly and enthusiastically explained so that the children could follow with ease.
