Shakespeare Workshops
for Secondary Schools
Investigate Shakespeare’s plays from an actor’s perspective in an interactive drama workshop
Using the techniques that a professional actor would use in a rehearsal room today, our workshops give KS3 and KS4 students ownership of Shakespeare’s text by encouraging them to explore the language, characters and themes. By learning to perform a character, students can learn to talk about and write about that character in future.

‘It was beyond! The workshop leader was charismatic, engaging, fun and had all children totally hooked! One child came in saying "I hate drama" and then went out of her way to find me in the corridor after the workshop to say “I loved that!”‘

‘The workshop leader was awesome at building relationships with the kids and knowing which students to target and which to leave. I liked that he made them think about structure and tone which can sometimes be hard to teach in a classroom.’
