School Dance Workshops

Primary school dance workshops using professional dancers

In the world of musical theatre, dance is used to tell stories. All our dance workshops approach movement through storytelling, helping children to develop their confidence and performance skills alongside an understanding of narrative.

From popular children’s books and poetry to cultural celebrations, mini musicals and themes such as friendship and teamwork, our dance workshops encourage children to use their imaginations while engaging with the topic from a new, active perspective.

We kickstart the day with an assembly for all the children taking part. This is followed by class-by-class workshops of 35-40 minutes each, based on the chosen theme.

The dance workshops were excellent. Teaching staff were able to choose books relevant to their year groups and the workshops were catered to the needs of the children. The children had fun and were engaged and the staff were also able to pick up some ideas to use in the future as well. A great day, highly recommended.
