Fairytale Explorer drama workshops
Explore fairytales using the skills and techniques of professional theatre.
From Goldilocks and the Three Bears to Jack and the Beanstalk, our Fairytale Explorer workshops investigate traditional fairytales using the skills and techniques of professional theatre.
Our facilitators are not only experts at exploring stories with children, but they're also professional actors. By exploring the fairytale and getting inside the heads of the characters, children can develop their feelings and ideas about the story while immersing themselves in the world of the tale.
Each drama workshop can last between 35 and 90 minutes depending on your chosen tale, and we can work with children from EYFS to KS2.
You choose up to 3 fairytales to focus on per day out of our workshop selection.

*The workshops explore child-friendly versions of the original fairytales, which are often very different from well known adaptations such as those by Disney. Each session is carefully tailored to the age group but if you have any questions about whether content is suitable please ask!
To get the best out of our drama workshops children should be familiar with the fairytales in advance. However if you'd like to use the workshop to introduce the topic just let us know!
