Emotion Explorer:
Drama and Wellbeing Workshop

Reception - Year 6
Led by a professional actor-facilitator
PSHE, RSE, Children's Mental Health Week
Delivered in your school hall

A drama workshop that nurtures emotional wellbeing through stories and play.

It’s normal to worry, and it’s OK to feel sad sometimes - it’s what you do next that counts!

Perfect for Children’s Mental Health Week (9 - 15 February 2026), our Emotion Explorer workshops empower children to feel confident in recognising, sharing and expressing their feelings. The active, energising workshops support a whole-school approach to emotional wellbeing; with a focus on building empathy and emotional resilience through play.

During the class-by-class sessions, a trained actor-facilitator guides the children through a series of carefully-developed drama exercises that sensitively encourage reflection and expression. In a safe, nurturing and energising environment, children learn to describe and place their feelings in the body, connect with others, and discover practical ways of managing trickier emotions.
