Bring the energy of Diwali to your primary school

Discover Diwali with a dance workshop exploring the Ramayana story. Perfect for the festival's celebrations which take place 29 October to 3 November this year.

The Ramayana is the most well known story told during Diwali celebrations. The great Hindu epic story about prince Rama and his wife Sita has been shared orally and through dance for centuries.

In our Diwali Dance workshops, children work alongside a professional dancer as they step into the world of the Ramayana. Accompanied by beautiful original music, children vividly imagine and retell the story through movement, creating a 2-minute dance which is performed at the end of each session.

By retelling the story through dance, children improve their cultural understanding of Diwali in a uniquely memorable and active way, as well as improving their confidence in self-expression.

As part of your booking, you'll also receive free teacher resources to support continued learning in the classroom
