Dance Today - A Show in a Day Workshop for Primary Schools

Now booking for World Book Week 2026

Imagine the children of your school joining together to perform an exciting, vibrant version of the much-loved Pinocchio story – and the whole process, including preparation, only taking one day!

Perfect for World Book Week or end of term celebrations, your children will work class-by-class throughout the day to explore the timeless story through dance. They are guided by a professional dancer who will encourage them to use their creativity and imaginations, with each session tailored for the age of the children.

At the end of the day, all classes who have taken part come together to share what they have worked on, culminating in an abridged version of the story which they perform to each other, accompanied by beautiful original music and narration.

Working collaboratively, your children will develop their physical literacy, creative expression and communication skills, and experience performing in a way they will never forget.

The day-long workshop is perfect for single-form entry schools working with Reception to Year 6, or for Infant or Junior schools. For multi-form entry schools we work across multiple days.

As with all of our dance workshops, this can be a great use of your Sports Premium budget!

★★★★★

‘What a fantastic day! Leading towards a whole school performance at the end of the day made it purposeful and meaningful for the children. All children could access the sessions and achieve and the end of the day performance was so wonderful to watch! This is our 4th year of West End in Schools and was definitely our favourite so far! We can't wait to have you back in next year! ’
