Join the West End in Schools team and other creative primary school teachers for a free evening of CPD, developing techniques to build confidence in exploring creative topics with primary school children.
Our Masterclasses, led by a creative professional, are a practical exploration of the chosen topic, equipping you with a variety of activities for approaching the subject with 4-11 year olds. Following this there is always a Q&A and discussion. The evening has plenty of opportunities to network with other teachers and our creative team.
Attendees will come away with:
A set of tools for approaching creative topics with primary school children
Confidence in leading creative activities
Knowledge of how to use performing arts activities as a stimulus for cross-curricular activity (such as PE or creative writing)
A resource pack containing handy notes about what was covered in the Masterclass
A certificate of completion
Autumn Term 2019 - Exploring Shakespeare in Primary Schools
How do you teach Shakespeare to primary school children? Our approach is all about getting the children excited about the stories, and bringing that narrative to life - the plays were written to be performed after all!
The ‘Exploring Shakespeare in Primary Schools’ Masterclass will equip teachers with the confidence, skills and drama techniques to investigate Shakespeare plays with children from Reception through to Year Six.
